How it works
- 1Open a PDF and wait for the page thumbnails.
- 2Click the pages you want, or type a range such as 2-5, 9.
- 3Choose whether to keep them together or export each page separately.
- 4Export the new document.
What this does to your file
Extraction builds a fresh PDF from the pages you selected, in the order they appear in the original. The source file is never modified.
Common questions
Is my file uploaded to a server?
- No. The page loads a PDF engine into your browser and the document is read from disk by that engine. There is no upload endpoint, and once the page has loaded you can disconnect from the network and the tool still works.
How is this different from splitting?
- Split divides a document into several parts by rule. Extract pulls a chosen set of pages out into one new file and ignores the rest.
Is the text still selectable?
- Yes. Pages are copied with their text layer and fonts intact.
How large a file can I use?
- The limit is your device's memory rather than a server quota. Documents up to a few hundred pages are routine; very large scanned files may need a desktop browser with more memory available.
