How it works
- 1Open the document you need to sign.
- 2Draw your signature with a mouse or finger, or type it and pick a style.
- 3Place it on the page and scale it to fit the signature line.
- 4Export the signed PDF.
What this does to your file
The signature is drawn into the page, producing a visible signed document. It is an image of your signature, not a cryptographic digital signature, so it does not carry a certificate.
Common questions
Is my file uploaded to a server?
- No. The page loads a PDF engine into your browser and the document is read from disk by that engine. There is no upload endpoint, and once the page has loaded you can disconnect from the network and the tool still works.
Is this a legally binding electronic signature?
- It produces the same kind of visible mark as signing a printout and scanning it. Whether that satisfies a given requirement depends on the jurisdiction and the counterparty; certificate-based digital signatures are a different mechanism and are not issued here.
Can I reuse the same signature?
- You can redraw or retype it at any time. Nothing is stored on a server, so a signature is not kept between sessions unless the document itself is still open.
How do I stop it being moved afterwards?
- Flatten the document on export. The signature is then part of the page content rather than a movable object.
