How it works
- 1Open the PDF you want to re-impose.
- 2Choose how many pages go on each sheet, or pick the booklet arrangement.
- 3Set the sheet size and orientation.
- 4Export the imposed document.
What this does to your file
Pages are placed side by side on larger sheets, scaled to fit. Because the original pages are drawn as vector content rather than pictures, text on an N-up sheet stays selectable and prints sharply.
Common questions
Is my file uploaded to a server?
- No. The page loads a PDF engine into your browser and the document is read from disk by that engine. There is no upload endpoint, and once the page has loaded you can disconnect from the network and the tool still works.
What does the booklet option do?
- It reorders pages so that printing double-sided and folding the stack down the middle produces a booklet reading in the correct order.
Why is the text small?
- Fitting several pages onto one sheet scales them down proportionally. Two-up on a landscape sheet keeps text largest.
Does the page count have to be a multiple of four?
- For a booklet, blank pages are added as needed so the folded signature works out.
