Any size. Handled on your device.

How it works

  1. 1Open the PDF you want to divide.
  2. 2Choose how to split it: one file per page, fixed-size chunks, or your own page ranges.
  3. 3Check the preview of how many files will be produced.
  4. 4Export — a single result downloads as a PDF, several arrive as a zip.

What this does to your file

Each output file is a new document containing only the pages in its range. The pages are copied, not re-encoded, so nothing is recompressed and the originals stay untouched.

Common questions

Is my file uploaded to a server?

No. The page loads a PDF engine into your browser and the document is read from disk by that engine. There is no upload endpoint, and once the page has loaded you can disconnect from the network and the tool still works.

How do I write a custom range?

Use page numbers and dashes separated by commas, for example 1-3, 7, 10-12. Each entry becomes its own output file.

Why did I get a zip file?

Splitting usually produces more than one document. Rather than firing several downloads, the parts are packed into one zip that you unpack locally.

How large a file can I use?

The limit is your device's memory rather than a server quota. Documents up to a few hundred pages are routine; very large scanned files may need a desktop browser with more memory available.

What happens with a password-protected PDF?

You are prompted for the password so the browser can open the document. If you do not have it, nothing can be done with the file here — the password is never bypassed or cracked.
